Pro analýzu byla vybrána díla Druhé město a Truchlivý Bůh. V úvodní kapitole pojednáváme o nejpodstatnějších důvodech srovnání autorů a nastiňujeme spojení s postmodernou a literární činností prozaika J. L. Borgese. Hlavním cílem je odhalit jakým způsobem využívají tématu tajemství v kategoriích prostoru, postavy a předmětu. Kategorie byly čerpány v kontextu Hodrové typologie, převzaté z její monografie Místa s tajemstvím.. -- Abstract: The submitted bachelor thesis is devoted to the theme of mystery in the prose of two contemporary Czech writers Michal Ajvaz and Jiří Kratochvil. The works Druhé město and Truchlivý Bůh were chosen for analysis. The introductory chapter discusses the most important reasons for comparing the authors and outlines the connection with postmodernism and the literary work of the novelist J. L. Borges. The main aim is to reveal how they unfold the theme of mystery in the categories of space, character and object that have been drawn from Daniela Hodrova's Místa s tajemstvím.
