The effect of mother tongue on learning English language in locations with the risk of social exclusion / Nur Ashraf Bekai. -- 2021. -- 78 listů : grafy, schémata. -- Oponent Zuzana Procházková. -- Vedoucí práce Ladislav Zilcher. -- Abstract: Diplomová práce s názvem "Vliv rodného jazyka na učení se anglického jazyka u dětí z lokalit ohrožených sociálním vyloučením" je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na komunitu dětí, které pochází ze sociálně vyloučených lokalit, především se zaměřím na romské děti a původ jejich rodných jazyků. Bude popsáno, jakým způsobem se vyučuje anglický jazyk a jaký k němu mají vztah. Empirická část se bude věnovat výzkumu, kde zjišťujeme, do jaké míry ovlivňuje mateřský jazyk výuku cizího jazyka - anglického jazyka. Jedná se o kvalitativní výzkum, který bude probíhat formou rozhovorů. Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, do jaké míry ovlivňuje mateřský jazyk výuku cizího jazyka. Výsledek se poté použije jako metodický materiál pro pedagogickou praxi - jak lépe motivovat děti k výuce. Také by měl být reflexí pro učitele, kteří učí cizí jazyk u dětí s odlišnými mateřskými jazyky.. -- Abstract: The diploma theses with the title "The effect of mother tongue on learning the English language in locations with the risk of social exclusion" is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on Roma children and the origin of their native languages; we will mainly focus on the community of children who come from socially excluded localities. The way that the English language is being taught will be described, and children's relation to it. The empirical part will be devoted to research, where we will find out to what extent of the mother tongue influences the teaching of a foreign language-English. It is qualitative research, that will take place as a form of interviews. This diploma thesis aims to find out to what extent of the mother tongue influences the teaching of a foreign language. The result will then be used as a recommendation in practice, how to motivate children better to teach. It should also be a reflection for teachers who teach a foreign language to children with different mother tongues.
