Práce je rozdělena do tří částí: na teoretickou část obecnou, teoretickou část speciální a část hlavní, neboli praktickou. Teoretická část obecná se zabývá definicemi základních pojmů, jako gerontologie, geriatrie, stáří, proces stárnutí. Dále se tato část zabývá změnami ve stáří, ageismem, komunikací se seniory a sociálními službami. Teoretická část speciální se v rámci zákona o sociálních službách zaměřuje na péči v domovech pro seniory, na adaptaci seniora na nové prostředí, ucelenou rehabilitaci a ergoterapii. Hlavní část této práce se věnuje ergoterapii v Domově pro seniory Dobětice a jejímu praktickému provádění u klientky CMP s pravostrannou hemiplegií a motorickou afázií. The subject of this bachelor thesis is occupational therapy in homes for the elderly. This thesis is divided into three parts: the general theoretical part, special theoretical part and main practical part. The theoretical part deals with general definitions of basic terms such as gerontology, geriatrics, aging and aging process. Furthermore, this section deals with changes in age, ageism, communication with the elderly and social services. Special theoretical part within the framework the Social Services Act focuses on care in homes for the elderly, senior?s adaptation to the new environment, comprehensive rehabilitation and occupational therapy. The main part deals with occupational therapy in the home for the elderly Dobětice and its practical application on the client who suffered stroke with right-sided hemiplegia and motoric aphasia.
