K tomuto účelu bylo u náhodného souboru každé věkové kategorie měřena délka nadzemní části, délka horizontálního a vertikálního kořene, objemu celé kořenové soustavy a objemu celé nadzemní části. Zároveň byl založen polní pokus ze změřených a konkrétně označených 50 ks dvouletých a tříletých semenáčů Cornus sanguinea a 50 ks dvouletých semenáčů Fraxinus excelsior sloužící k sledování změn sledovaných parametrů v průběhu vegetačního období. Získané hodnoty byly statisticky zpracovány. Z těchto výsledků jasně vyplývají změny ve velikostech sledovaných ukazatelů a jejich případná vzájemná závislost. The aim of the thesis was to describe the root system of seedlings of Fraxinus excelsior and Cornus sanguinea aged 1, 2, and 3 years. For this purpose, in incidental set of each age category, the length of above-ground part, the length of horizontal root, the depth of the root, the volume of the whole root system, and the volume of the whole over-ground part were measured. Simultaneously, a field experiment of measured and concretely labelled 50 pcs of two-year old and three-year old seedlings of Cornus sanguinea and 50 pcs of two-year old seedlings of Fraxinus excelsior was established serving for pursuing changes in the observed parameters during the vegetation season. The values that were obtained were statistically processed. From the results it is evident, that there exist changes in the size of the observed indices and their eventual mutual dependence.
