Počáteční kapitoly charakterizují klasickou eugeniku a její historický vývoj. Stěžejní část práce diskutuje novou eugeniku v kontextu s intervencemi do prenatálního vývoje člověka a její bioetické aspekty (asistovaná reprodukce, preimplantační genetická diagnostika, genové inženýrství a klonování). Práce shrnuje zejména dostupné poznatky o bioetických rizicích invazivních i neinvazivních metod prenatální diagnostiky z hlediska filozofického, právního a medicínského a překládá tak analýzu etického stavu současné reprodukční medicíny. The thesis deals with bioethical issues interventions in the prenatal human development in a form of literary research. The initial chapters describe the concept of eugenics and its historical development. The main part debates new eugenics in the context of intervention to the prenatal development of human and their bioethical aspects (assisted reproductive technology, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, genetic engineering and cloning). Thesis summarizes in particular available evidence of bioethical risks of invasive and non-invasive methods of prenatal diagnosis in philosophical, legal, and medical terms and presents analysis of ethical condition of current reproductive medicine.
