Zabývá se teoretickým vymezením regionálního rozvoje, regionální politiky a regionální konkurenceschopnosti. Charakterizuje cíle, nástroje a účastníky regionální politiky. Dále přibližuje vývoj regionální politiky v České republice a její územní členění pro potřeby regionální politiky Evropské unie. Tato práce obecně nastiňuje konkurenceschopnost z pohledu Evropské unie a postavení České republiky v globální konkurenceschopnosti. Práce je soustředěna na analýzu konkurenceschopnosti jednotlivých krajů v České republice. Proto se teoretická část práce zabývá způsoby měření konkurenceschopnosti regionů a hlavními faktory regionální konkurenceschopnosti, z kterých analýza vychází. Cílem práce je zjistit, které faktory nejvíce přispívají k udržení či růstu konkurenceschopnosti jednotlivých krajů v České republice.. -- Abstract: The topic of the dissertation are the aspects of the regional competitive advantages. It considers the theoretical definition of regional development, regional policy and the regional competitiveness. It defines the target, tool and the members of the regional politics. Furthermore describes the development of the regional politics in the Czech Republic and territory structure within the regional policy of the European Union. The dissertations topic is the revelation of competitive advantages from the point of view of the European Union and the role of Czech Republic in the global competitiveness. The diploma is focused on the analysis of the competitiveness of the single regions in the Czech Republic. Therefore the theoretical section deals with the possibilities of measurement of the competitiveness of single regions and a main elements of the regional competitiveness, those are the source for the analysis. The objective is to find out which elements belongs mostly to the preservation or even a growth of the competitive advantages of the single regions in the Czech Republic.
