Postavení Romů ve společnosti je do značné míry determinováno jejich ekonomickou a vzdělanostní úrovní. Řada odborníků spatřuje východisko právě ve zvýšení vzdělanostní úrovně romské populace. V této práci analyzuji vzdělávání romských žáků v současném českém školství. Práce vysvětluje zvláštnosti rodinné výchovy romských dětí, popisuje roli ředitele školy, učitele a romského asistenta ve výchově a vzdělávání romských žáků. Dále se zamýšlí nad kroky společnosti při řešení zvyšování vzdělanostní úrovně romského etnika a popisuje jednotlivé možnosti vzdělávacích programů pro romské žáky v systému současného českého školství. The Roma ethnic distinquishes itself considerably not only from the major society, but also from other minorities. The position of Roma in society is to a considerable extent determined by their economic and educational level. Many experts see the solution in promoting the educational level of the Roma population. In this work I will try to analyse the instruction of Roma students in the current Czech education. The aim of this work is to explain the peculiarities in the family education of Roma children, to describe the roles of the school headmaster, the teacher and the Roma assistents in the education and instruction of Roma pupils. The work also analyses the measures that the society have taken in the solution of education and instruction of the Roma ethnic and describes possibilities of educatioal programmes for Roma pupils in the current system of Czech education.
