Název a text práce v anglickém jazyce Abstract Tato bakalářská práce s názvem "Znázornění sexuality a jejího významu v díle Sylvie Plath Pod Skleněným Zvonem" se soustředí na užití tématu sexuality ve zmíněném díle ve spojení s dopady tohoto tématu na duševní zdraví jedince, jeho příležitosti a místo ve společnosti a na otázku vlastní identity a sebevědomí. Toto dílo znázorňuje, jak vliv dvoustrannosti důležitosti přikládané tématu sexu ovlivňuje jedince a následně společnost, a naopak. Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat způsob, kterým je toto téma zpracované ve zmíněné knize a najít souvislosti s podobnými problémy v dnešní době. Hlavními tématy této práce jsou sexualita a sex z psychologického hlediska a jejich propojený vliv na společnost a jedince. This bachelor thesis titled "Depiction of Sexuality and Its Significance in Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar" is centered on the use of the topic of sexuality in the book in relation to the effects of the topic on an individual's mental health, their opportunities and place in society and the question of self-identity and confidence. The novel highlights how the polarity of the significance put on sex affects the individual and therefore the society, and vice versa. The main goal of this paper is to analyze the way the topic is described in the book and to find connections to similar issues in the present day. The main themes explored in this work are the general importance of sexuality and sex from a psychological standpoint and its interconnected effects on the society and the individual.
