Práce se zaměřuje na známé autory žánru hororu, jimiž jsou Edgar Allana Poe a Stephena King. Ve vybraných povídkách o obou autorů budu hledat již zmiňované techniky a co oba příběhy o černých kocourech dělá tak děsivými.. -- Abstract: This bachelor thesis will be focusing on horror literature, specifically on its techniques - transformation and metamorphosis and an ancestral curse. The thesis focuses on well-known authors of this genre, which are Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King. In selected short stories I will be looking for used techniques in both stories and I am going to find out what makes these stories about black cats so terrifying.
