Zájmová lokalita byla vytipována na oblast Dubice, Česká Lípa na základě leteckého gamaspektrometrického mapování uskutečněného v roce 2005. V nedaleké Stráži pod Ralskem se v minulosti hojně těžily uranové rudy. Při těžbě docházelo k značnému znečišťování nejen v okolí ložiska. Vlivem přírodních procesů, antropogenní činnosti, nezájmem o životní prostředí a nedbalým jednáním se znečištění rozšířilo i do řeky Ploučnice. Významným aspektem šíření byly i povodně roku 1981, při kterých se uran a dceřiné prvky z těžby uranu dostaly do nivních sedimentů řeky, kde setrvávají již několik desítek let. V rámci této práce je zkoumána říční niva Ploučnice a distribuce daného znečištění v oblasti. Znečištění uranem bylo vyhodnoceno z odběrů vzorků sedimentů a kontrolní vzorky byly analyzovány v laboratoři Ústavu anorganické chemie AV ČR. Hodnoty nejvyššího znečištění 100133 ppm byly naměřeny v terénních sníženinách v hloubce 2045 cm. Naměřeny byly také i vysoké koncentrace olova a zinku, které jsou pravděpodobně důsledkem provozu průmyslových podniků v oblasti. Výstupem jsou mapové podklady modelu šíření kontaminantu za využití geostatistických metod GIS. Hodnocený byl též vývoj toku Ploučnice, čímž byly vytipovány vhodné lokality pro další šetření. The aim of this diploma thesis follows previous projects about pollution of sediments of the Ploučnice river and was made within projects GAČR 15-00340S and IGA Faculty of the environment University of Jana Evangelisty Purkyně. The examined locality was chosen at Dubice, Česká Lípa city based on air gamaspectrometrical mapping realized in 2005. In the past there was abundantly mined uranium in a close city Stráž pod Ralskem. During the uranium mining the environment was highly polluted in deposit and not only there. Due to the influence of natural processes, mankind activity, lack of interest about the environment and careless actions the pollution has spread even into the Ploučnice river. The main important aspect of pollution distributrion were floods in 1981, which made uranium and heavy metals spread into severe sediments in the river, where they are persisting for decades. The topic of this diploma thesis is focused on examining of floodplain of the Ploučnice river and distribution of pollution in the surrounding area. The pollution by uranium was rated from samples of severe sediments and one referent sample was analysed in Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, CAS, Prague. The outputs of this thesis are map documents of contamination spreading with usage GIS methods. The highest pollution values 100 133 ppm of uranium were detected in terrain shallows in depth 20 45 cm. Moreover high values of zinc and lead were found, which are probably the consequence of industrial factories located in a close area.
