Oponent Jan Grisa Abstract Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na největší amatérský etapový závod ve východní Evropě ve druhé polovině 20. století, který nesl název Závod míru. Tento cyklistický podnik se vždy odehrával v měsíci květnu a jeho etapy se tradičně konaly v Československu, Polsku a v Německé demokratické republice, jelikož tyto země byly současně pořadatelskými zeměmi. Práce se detailněji zaměří na jednotlivé etapy konající se v Mostě. Jejich průběh, ale i organizace a další aspekty budou přiblíženy prostřednictvím pamětníků, fotografií, ale i dobového tisku. Pro lepší pochopení tohoto výseku bude celý Závod míru zasazen do kontextu vývoje sportu ve světě. Závod s holubicí ve znaku bude také komparován s ostatními cyklistickými závody ve světě (Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Tour de l'Avenir). Nakonec bude objasněn pohled na Závod míru v době jeho největší slávy a dnes. Dovětkem bude Závod míru juniorů a Závod míru U23. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the largest amateur stage race in Eastern Europe in the second half of the 20th century, which was called the Peace Race. This cycling event always took place in May, and its stages have traditionally taken place in Czechoslovakia, Poland and the German Democratic Republic, as these countries were also the host countries. The work will focus in more detail on the individual stages taking place in Most. Their course, as well as the organization and other aspects will be presented through witnesses, photographs, but also periodicals. To better understand this part, the entire Peace Race will be placed in the context of the development of sport in the world. The race with the dove in the emblem will also be compared with other cycling races in the world (Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Tour de l'Avenir).
