Domov je považován za jeden z hlavních konceptů v tvorbě Woolfové, vybraný román je vhodným příkladem pro analýzu, jelikož je možné zde zkoumat tento koncept z několika úhlů pohledu. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem autorka pracuje s konceptem domova, jaké prvky a techniky modernismu ve svých dílech používá a snaží se ukázat, že důležitost konceptu domova v dílech Woolfové je úzce svázána s historickým vývojem na počátku 20. století a jejími vzpomínkami z dětství. This bachelor thesis focuses on the interpretation of the concept of Home in Virginia Woolf's novel To the Lighthouse. It is regarded to be one of the recurrent concepts of her works. The analysed novel is the quintessence of her works where this concept could be analysed from different aspects. The aim of the thesis is to examine the way the author works with the concept of Home and what constituents it includes, to depict what modernist techniques Woolf uses in her works, and to suggest that the importance of the concept of Home in her works is closely related to the historical context of the beginning of the 20th century and to the childhood memories of Virginia Woolf.
