Práce pojednává o problematice informovanosti primipar, nedostatečné edukaci porodních asistentek o kojení a mnou vedeném laktačním poradenství. V teoretické části se zabývám edukačním procesem a mezinárodními studiemi, které mapují vliv rozličných forem edukace žen o kojení na cíle kojení, i domácími studiemi řešící stav výživy kojenců v České republice. Cílem praktické části práce je zhodnotit, zda laktační poradenství poskytnuté mnou má vliv na informovanost primipar o kojení vůči laktačnímu poradenství zdejšího zdravotnického personálu. Při kvantitativním výzkumu využívám dotazníkovou metodu. Výsledky výzkumu statisticky zhodnocuji pomocí Chí-kvadrát testu a dvouvýběrového neparametrického Mann-Whitneyho testu. Ze závěrů je patrné, že prvorodičky dosáhly vyšší úrovně znalostí po mnou vedené edukaci než po laktačním poradenství porodních asistentek či dětských sester na oddělení šestinedělí Nemocnice Teplice. Efektivita edukace byla shledána jako statisticky významná v 9 z 10 hodnocených oblastí (bodů). V závěru doporučuji zdravotnickému personálu vhodné intervence pro zlepšení laktačního poradenství a ukazuji cestu, která by teplické porodnici mohla pomoci k získání statusu "Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative". The main topic of the thesis is "The efficiency of lactation consultation at Teplice Hospital". Thesis deals with the delivery of information to primiparas, lack of education of midwives on breastfeeding and lactation counseling held by me. Firstly the theoretical part deals with the educational process and international studies that focus on the influence of various forms of education of women about breastfeeding on breastfeeding goals, and secondly, the thesis deals with domestic studies addressing the nutritional status of infants in the Czech Republic. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to evaluate whether lactation counseling provided by me has a larger effect on the knowledgeableness of primiparas than counseling provided by local medical staff. In quantitative research, I use the questionnaire method. I evaluate the research results statistically using the chi - square test and two-tailed nonparametric Mann -Whitney test. From the results it is apparent that new mothers have attained a higher level of knowledge after counseling held by me than after lactation counseling held by midwives and pediatric nurses at the Department of postpartum at Hospital Teplice. The effectiveness of education was found to be statistically significant in 9 out of 10 evaluated areas. In conclusion, I recommend the appropriate interventions to the medical staff in order to improve lactation counseling and I show the path that could help the hospital to obtain the status of "Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative".
