Note Lic. smlouva Abstract Cílem práce je posouzení vývoje významu Zlína jako regionálního centra východní Moravy od poloviny 19. století do současnosti. Součástí práce je i zhodnocení strategických vizí budoucího směřování města. Stěžejní částí historie Zlína je firma Baťa a její vliv na rozvoj města a regionu. Proto je přirozené, že se práce věnuje také těmto aspektům. V prvních dvou kapitolách se zjišťuje, jak správní vývoj Zlína ovlivňoval rozvoj města. Během 20. století rostl význam Zlína, který se projevoval jak snahami města o zřízení okresu a později kraje, tak i vnitřním rozvojem města a vlivem na region. Za jádro práce lze považovat třetí kapitolu, která se zabývá strategickými vizemi Zlína. Na základě vybraných pěti vizí je dokumentován rozvoj města do budoucna, specifikovány jeho hlavní problémy, navrženo jejich řešení a také analyzovány vybrané projekty. Každá vize vyúsťuje ve SWOT analýzu. Práce je doplněna tabulkami, grafy, obrázky a mapami, které mají přiblížit a ilustrovat zkoumanou problematiku. Přínos práce je v seznámení s vývojem Zlína v minulosti a blízké budoucnosti, jehož rozvoj je podmíněn využitím endogenního potenciálu. Zlín ovšem vystupuje nejen jako samostatné město, ale přinejmenším stejně významné je jeho působení v rámci příslušného regionu, vymezeném na základě socioekonomických procesů či administrativně. The aim of this work is to asses the development of the city of Zlín as an eastern Moravian centre from the middle of the 19th century to the present. The work also evaluates strategic visions of the city's future progress. An important part of the history of Zlín is the Baťa company and its influence on the city and the region growth. This contribution is also dealt with in the scope of this work. The first two chapters map out the progress of the administrative development of Zlín together with the growth of the city. During the 20th century the growing development of Zlín showed itself both in the city's efforts to establish a district, later a region, and in the inner progress of the city, its influence in the region, growing building activity etc. The core of the work can be found in the third chapter, dealing with strategic visions of Zlín. On the basis of five chosen visions the work shows Zlín's future development, its main difficulties, their solutions and the assessment of individual projects. Each vision is also evaluated by the SWOT analysis. The work is supplemented with tables, graphs, pictures and maps which are supposed to supply the examined topic. The contribution of the work is in learning about and understanding the development of Zlín in the past and in the near future and in understanding the logical efforts to keep and strengthen the city's influence in the region and to make the best of its potential.
