Abstract

Předmětem disertační práce je prozkoumat vztah vzájemného působení mezi uměním a vědou, vztah rozumu a intuice, kdy intuice může být součástí vědy, stejně jako rozum součástí umění. Cílem práce je hledat a zkoumat roviny, kde se míra vzájemného působení zintenzivňuje, podporuje a tvoří nový prostor pro kreativitu. Součástí práce je projekt s názvem Umělecko-vědecká laboratoř: Možnosti interdisciplinarity umění a přírodních věd, který vychází ze spolupráce vybraných studentů FUD UJEP a vědců z CEITEC VUT. Tato laboratoř byla založena po vzoru zavedených mezioborových platforem s cílem umožnit umělcům a vědcům spolupracovat na vědeckém výzkumu, vzájemně se obohacovat a vytvořit nové tvůrčí prostředí. Výstupy se pak staly mezioborová díla zabývající se nanotechnologiemi materiálů a struktur, dvě výstavy a kritický katalog Na pomezí umění a přírodních věd / On the Borders of Art and the Natural Sciences. Vedle organizace laboratoře a vydání publikace byl uskutečněn záměr zapojit se jako umělec a navázat na magisterskou práci, která zkoumala příbuzné téma.

The subject of the dissertation is to explore the relationship of interaction between art and science, the relationship of reason and intuition, where intuition can be part of science as well as reason can be part of art. The aim of the thesis is to seek and explore levels where the degree of interaction enhances, supports and creates new space for creativity. Part of the work is a project called The Art-Science Laboratory: Possibilities of Interdisciplinarity in Art and the Natural Sciences, which is based on the collaboration of selected students from FUD UJEP and scientists from CEITEC BUT. This laboratory was established along the lines of renowned interdisciplinary platforms with the aim of enabling artists and scientists to collaborate on scientific research, enrich each other and create new creative environments. The outputs were interdisciplinary works that explore nanotechnologies in materials and structures, two exhibitions and a critical catalogue Na pomezí umění a přírodních věd / On the Borders of Art and the Natural Sciences. In addition to the organization of the lab and the publication, the intention to engage as an artist and to follow up on a master's thesis that examined a related topic was realized.
