Primárním zaměřením této práce jsou křesťanská symbolika a jejich porovnávání s Biblí, obzvláště s postavou Ježíše Krista. Práce se také zaměřuje na vývoj života obou autorů a vliv víry na jejich smýšlení. Metodologické postupy použity při tvorbě práce jsou následující; textová analýza, analýza teologických textů a metoda důkladného čtení.. -- Abstract: This bachelor's thesis analyses the texts and lives of British authors Clive Staples Lewis and John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. The primary focus of this thesis is Christian symbolism in their books and comparison to the Bible, especially to the character of Jesus Christ. The thesis also focuses on the authors' lives and the influence that faith had on them and their thinking. The methodological approaches used are textual analysis, analysis of theological texts, and the method of close reading.
