Práce nejprve shrnuje vývoj autorovy tvorby, dále se pak zaměřuje na kulturně a historicky podmíněné vnímání samotného autora i jeho děl. Další část práce je věnována Kunderovým teoretickým koncepcím zaměřeným na vztah díla a autorství. Stěžejní část práce se zabývá analýzou vybraných románů, porovnává funkci ideologie a imagologie v konstrukci zápletky, nachází shody a rozdíly ve funkčnosti obou stanovených témat. V závěru práce dochází k sumarizaci získaných poznatků. This thesis deals with the issue of ideology and imagology in the selected works by Milan Kundera. At first, the thesis summarizes the development of the author's literary work and then it focuses on the cultural and historical perception of the author himself and also the author's writings. Another part of the thesis is dedicated to the Kundera's theoretical approaches focused on the relationship between art and authorship. The main part of the work deals with the analysis of selected novels, compares the function of ideology and imagology in the construction of the plot, searches for the similarities and differences in the functionality of the two topics mentioned.
