Jsou zde popsána východiska pro regeneraci historických částí měst. V závěru první části této práce je provedena deskripce a analýza Programu regenerace městských památkových rezervací a městských památkových zón. Druhá část práce je případovou studií, která se zabývá realizací Programu regenerace městských památkových rezervací a městských památkových zón v území městské památkové zóny Benešov nad Ploučnicí. V této druhé části jsou analyzovány prostorové, funkční a sociální struktury celku města a jeho památkové zóny a je analyzována realizace tohoto programu. V závěru práce jsou navržena opatření pro realizaci programu s důrazem na efektivnější využití nástrojů programu. This thesis "Regeneration of historical urban areas in the Czech Republic" is in the first, theoretical part focused on description of system of cultural heritage preservation in historical urban areas. Here are described starting points for regeneration of historical urban areas. At the end of the first part of this paper describes and analyses Programme of regeneration of urban heritage reservations and urban heritage zones. The second part is a case study that deals with the implementation of the Programme of regeneration of urban heritage reservations and urban heritage zones in area of heritage zone Benešov over Ploučnicí. In this, second part are analysed spatial, functional and social structures of the town and its heritage zone and the implementation of this programme.
