První část práce souhrnně zpracovává informace o historii, společnosti, náboženských představách a umění starověkých Keltů. Přes hudební nástroje používané starými Kelty přechází v druhou část, která objasňuje pojem keltská hudba a přináší popis jednotlivých keltských zemí, jejich lidové hudby a tanců. Prostřednictvím prezentace hudebních skupin seznamuje práce čtenáře se současnou hudební kulturou Skotska, Irska, Walesu, Bretaně, Cornwallu a ostrova Man.. -- Abstract: The following thesis deals with the Traditional Music and Dances of Celtic nations, introduces traditional instruments and acquaint readers with contemporary musical scene in six Celtic countries and describe a broad term Celtic Music. The first part contains overall information about the history, society, religion and art of the ancient Celts. The second part follows up with chapter which deals with musical instruments used by ancient Celts and explains the term Celtic music a gives a description of Celtic nations, folk music and dances of this countries. Through the presentation of musical groups acquaint readers with contemporary music of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man.
