Cílem práce je analyzovat postavení a úlohu žen v muslimské společnosti. Pozornost je věnována především tomu, jakou úlohu a práva ženě připisuje ústřední text islámu - Korán. Hlavním tématem práce je tradiční postavení muslimských žen v konkrétních oblastech jejich života: náboženské otázky, manželství, rodina a společnost. Dále se tato práce věnuje společenské situaci v Íránu včetně souvisejícího historického vývoje. Zaměřena je především na život íránských žen po islámské revoluci a v současnosti. Na závěr jsou popsány současné emancipační snahy žen v muslimském světě. Ženy stále usilují o rovnoprávnější postavení ve společnosti a o práva, která jsou jim často upírána. Tato práce se věnuje tomu, jak různé ženské organizace a hnutí pomáhají ženám v jejich snaze o lepší život. This bachelor thesis concerns itself with the issue of females in Islam. The aim of the thesis is to describe the position and role of women in Muslim society. There is focus especially on women's roles and rights which are given to them by the primary religious text - Quran. The bachelor thesis analysis traditional role of Muslim women in particular parts of their life: religion, marriage, family and society. Furthermore, there is regard to social conditions in Iran and its historical development. The thesis is focused mainly on the life of Iranian women in the period after the Islamic revolution and also in present time. At the end, there is examined the emancipation of present-day Muslim women. Women still try to accomplish equality and rights, which are often denied to them.
