K tématu se váže autorčin vztah k městu Desná s dlouholetou sklářskou tradicí, která je propojená i s její rodinou.Výchozí myšlenkou práce je vysvětlení vztahu jednotlivých sklářů s návazností na historický kontext až po současnost. Popisuje zde rozvoj generace sklářů, kteří ovlivnili současný vzhled města Desná. Výstupem jsou skleněné objekty z plochého lepeného skla s průniky originálních desenských ručně tažených tyčí, jež odkazují na místo svého vzniku.. -- Abstract: Annotation: The topic of this thesis is Genius loci of the glass factory in Desná. It deals with the history of glass forming and the Riedel family, the glass-makers. The author of this essay has a special relationship with the town Desná. The long-lasting tradition of glassmaking in this town influenced the author?s family as well. The basis of the thesis is the explanation of the relationships of particular glass-makers which are put into the historical context from the beginning until today. It describes the development of the glass-makers? generation that influenced the contemporary appearance of the town Desná. The outputs are glass objects from flat laminated glass with penetration from original hand-drawn glass rods which refer to the place of their origin.
