Autor představí názory Johna Stuarta Milla na svobodu, liberalismus a etiku, a to především utilitaristickou. Taktéž budou zpracováno příbuzné téma lidských práv a Millův názor na náboženství. Část práce bude věnována životu J.S. Milla a autor taktéž prozkoumá Millův vztah k socialismu.. -- Abstract: In this thesis will be examinated the work of John Stuart Mill in the field of political philosophy. The autor will show opinions of John Stuart Mill on liberty, liberalism and ethics, mainly utilitarianism. Also, the related topics of human rights and Mill's opinion about religion will be presented. One part of the thesis will be dedicated to the life of J. S. Mill and autor will deal with Mill's relation to socialism as well.
