Tato práce je zaměřena na podnikatelské inkubátory. Cílem je ukázat prospěšnost a důležitost podnikatelských inkubátorů prostřednictvím vybraného inkubátoru BIC Plzeň. Práce je rozdělena do 4 kapitol. Úvodní kapitola stručně popisuje podnikatelské inkubátory, jejich vznik a vývoj, členění a služby, které poskytují. Druhá kapitola se zabývá inovacemi, bariérami inovačního podnikání, také výhodami a nevýhodami malého a středního podnikání. Třetí kapitola je věnována Plzeňskému kraji a městu Plzeň. Čtvrtá kapitola zahrnuje popis vývoje a činnosti BIC Plzeň, jeho úspěchy a dva příklady úspěšně inkubovaných firem. Podnikatelský inkubátor BIC Plzeň je v této práci hodnocen jako úspěšný a užitečný projekt, který má vliv na rozvoj malého a středního podnikání v Plzeňském kraji, podílí se na nízké nezaměstnanosti a celkově přispívá k ekonomickému rozvoji celého kraje. The subject of the bachelor´s thesis is "Characteristics of selected business incubator in the Czech Republic". This thesis is focused on business incubators. The aim is to demonstrate the usefulness and importance of business incubators through selected incubator BIC Pilsen. The work is divided into four chapters. Introductory chapter briefly describes the business incubators, their origin and evolution, structure and the services they provide. The second chapter deals with the innovation, with barriers of innovative business, with advantages and disadvantages of small and medium sized enterprises. The third chapter is devoted to Pilsen region and city of Pilsen. The fourth chapter includes a description of the development and activities BIC Pilsen, its successes and two examples of companies successfully incubated. Business incubator BIC Pilsen in this work is evaluated as successful and useful project, which has an impact on the development of small and medium sized enterprises in the Pilsen region, contributes to low unemployment and generally contributes to the economic development of the region.
