Oponent Martin Špaček Abstract Bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením konkurenceschopnosti společnosti GLS na českém trhu balíkové logistiky prostřednictvím finanční analýzy. Cílem této práce bylo provést analýzu konkurenceschopnosti GLS a porovnat ji s výkonností konkurentů na trhu doručovacích služeb pomocí benchmarkingu finančních ukazatelů. Zároveň se zaměřovala na vliv moderních technologií, jako je automatizace třídění zásilek a GPS sledování, na konkurenceschopnost vybraných firem v logistickém odvětví. Analýza kombinuje využití účetních závěrek, benchmarking a rozhovor s představitelem společnosti. Výsledky ukazují, že GLS dosahuje stabilní rentability, má vyváženou kapitálovou strukturu a výrazně investuje do technologických inovací, což posiluje její provozní efektivitu a tržní pozici. Slabší stránky byly identifikovány v oblasti pohotové likvidity a efektivního využití majetku. Práce podtrhuje význam finanční stability a technologické adaptability pro udržení konkurenceschopnosti a nabízí podněty pro další výzkum v oblasti logistiky. The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the competitiveness of GLS on the Czech parcel logistics market through financial analysis. The aim of this thesis was to analyse the competitiveness of GLS and compare it with the performance of competitors in the delivery services market by benchmarking financial ratios. It also focused on the impact of modern technologies, such as automation of parcel sorting and GPS tracking, on the competitiveness of selected companies in the logistics sector. The analysis combines the use of financial statements, benchmarking and an interview with a company representative. The results show that GLS achieves stable profitability, has a balanced capital structure and invests heavily in technological innovation, which strengthens its operational efficiency and market position. Weaknesses were identified in the areas of prompt liquidity and efficient use of assets. The paper highlights the importance of financial stability and technological adaptability in maintaining competitiveness and offers suggestions for further research in the logistics sector.
