Oponent Jakub Charvát Abstract Cílem diplomové práce je zmapování politické reprezentace žen v Evropském parlamentu. Hlavní výzkumnou otázkou práce je zjistit, zda je odlišná míra politické reprezentace žen v Evropském parlamentu ovlivněna politickou ideologií, zastávanou jednotlivými stranickými aktéry, respektive stranickými rodinami (frakcemi evropských politických stran), jež spojuje právě příslušnost ke konkrétní politické ideologii. Práce je strukturována do dvou hlavních části. V první, teoretické části práce je představen koncept politické reprezentace a politické reprezentace žen a koncept stranických rodin, zejména s ohledem na politickou ideologii jako prvek spojující politické strany do jednotlivých frakcí Evropského parlamentu. V druhé části práce je poté prostor věnován vývoji politické reprezentace žen v Evropském parlamentu a vlivu politické ideologie na politickou reprezentaci žen. The aim of this diploma thesis is to chart political representation of women in the European Parliament. The main research question of this thesis is to ascertain, whether the different rate in a political representation of women in the European Parliament is caused by a political ideology, which individual party actors espouse, or more precisely party families (fractions of European political parties), which are connected by belonging to the same specific political ideology. This thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first one, the theoretical part of this thesis, a concept of political representation and of a political representation of women is being introduced. Likewise the concept of party families is introduced, mainly with regard to a political ideology as an aspect connecting political parties into particular fractions of the European Parliament. Afterwards the second part of the thesis is dedicating itself to a development of a political representation of women in the European Parliament and the influence of given political ideology on political representation of women.
