Předmět zájmu je nahlížen především z pozice kurátora. Text sleduje funkci současného umění v sakrální architektuře, proměny sakrálního prostoru a roli, kterou hraje sakrální architektura v dnešní společnosti. Základní otázky disertační práce jsou: významový a hodnotový potenciál sakrálního místa v dnešní společnosti; aktuální problematika vztahu sakrálního a profánního; specifika vnímání uměleckého díla v sakrálním prostoru a specifika kurátorské práce; mapování těchto prostor v České republice a jejich zasazování do evropského kontextu. Rámcový obsah teoretické části disertační práce je: 1. Potřeba aktuálnosti sakrálních staveb a především jejich funkce, pro společnost, pro církev, 2. Církev ve společnosti, kostel ve společnosti, umění ve společnosti, umění v církvi, 3. Staré v novém, možnosti interpretace, propojování a zesoučasňování, 4. Historie současného umění v kostele od roku 1990, utváření občanské společnosti a demokracie, 5. Současné tendence a příklady v České republice a Evropě. Praktická část se věnuje prostoru Na Kalvárii jako kurátorské laboratoři. Základní linie uvažování je: 1. Umělecký a kurátorský diskurs a možnosti chápání prostoru a sakrálních prostor 2. Církev ve společnosti a umění: Kapitola propojuje myšlenky Lamberta Zuidervaarta a to především z textu Kritika náboženství, čísla časopisu Salve, která se tematice umění věnovala, knihy Nadšení a pochybnost Friedhelma Mennekese a Přímluva za současnost Norberta Schmidta. 3. Funkce umění v sakrální architektuře: V sakrální architektuře jsou bezprostřední působení díla i jeho interpretace propojeny s vnímáním prostoru. Duchovnost obsažená v charakteru stavby nás přivádí k prožívání díla v jednotě s působením architektury. 4. Typologie přístupů: kapitola popisuje téma prázdna a pomíjivosti jako zásadní tendence pro náboženství i současné umění.. -- Abstract: devoted to sacred architecture, which is currently becoming a means for the presentation of contemporary art, regardless of its sacred or profane character. The subject of interest is viewed primarily from the position of the curator. The text observes the function of contemporary art in sacred architecture, transformation of sacred space and the role that sacred architecture plays in today's society. The essential questions of the dissertation work are: the significance and value potential of sacred spaces in today's society; current issues of the relationship of the sacred and profane; the specifics of perception of the work of art in sacred space and specifics of curatorial work; mapping these spaces in the Czech Republic and their setting into a European context. The basic content of the theoretical part of the dissertation work is: 1. The need for recentness of sacred structures, above all in their function for society and for the church 2. The Church in society, churches in society, art in society, art in the Church 3. Old in new, possibilities for interpretation, interconnection and contemporarization 4. History of contemporary art in churches since 1990, forming civil society and democracy. 5. Current tendencies and examples in the Czech Republic and in Europe. The practical part is devoted to the space Na Kalvárii as a curatorial laboratory Basic lines of consideration 1. The Church in society and art: The chapter interconnects the thoughts of Lambert Zuidervaart, mainly from the text Critique of Religion, an issue of the magazine Salve that was devoted to art in theme, Friedhelm Mennekes' book Enthusiasm and Doubt and Intercession for the Present by Norbert Schmidt. 2. The function of art in sacred architecture: In scared architecture there is an immediate action of the work as well as its interpretation in connection with the perception of the space. The spirituality contained in the character of the building induces us to experience the work in unity with the action of the architecture. Works of art cannot be isolated from the architectural environment or its character. Contemporary works must always be squeezed into the possible space of the gesamtkunstwerk and, of and by itself, transform the interior into a new whole. It is at the same time possible that the work borrows the architecture's spirituality of a sacred character.
