Světový vývoj subkultur punku a skinheads se tak díky informačnímu embargu a zkreslujícím proniklým informacím značně podílel na formování nově vznikajících alternativních scén v Československu. Na rozdíl od západních zemí, kde subkultura punk vykrystalizovala až v rámci politického hnutí a skinheads jako odraz sociální soudržnosti dělnické třídy, u nás se jednalo o touhu nalezení vlastní autenticity ve fádní komunistické atmosféře. Politická angažovanost, reflektovaná v textech písní, vzešla jako reakce na perzekuci ze strany státního aparátu vůči alternativní kultuře. Postoj samotných protagonistů, zprávy Veřejné a státní bezpečnosti, dobový domácí i zahraniční tisk a rozbor tvorby kapel tak přináší ucelený pohled vývoje obou subkultur v našich zemích. The different economic and political conditions of the Eastern Bloc have brought different social conditions. The world development of punk and skinheads subculture thanks to the information embargo and distorted image, played a significant part in the formation of new emerging alternative scenes in Czechoslovakia. Unlike in the Western countries, where punk got clear only after you consider the political movement and skinheads as a reflection of the social cohesion of the working class, in our country it was a desire to find our own authenticity in a humorous communist atmosphere. Political engagement which was reflected in song's lyrics was the response to persecution by the state against alternative culture. The attitude of the protagonists themselves, the public and state security reports, the periodic domestic and foreign press and the analysis of the bands bring a comprehensive view of the development of both subcultures in our country.
