Zvláštní zřetel věnuje Kryštofu Popelu z Lobkovic, jeho budování kariery, nástupu do funk- ce nejvyššího hofmistra v roce 1599 a jeho působení v české státní radě v letech 1602-1609. V souvislosti s tím si všímá rodu Lobkoviců ve vyšších zemských úřadech a sleduje styky příslušníku Lobkovického rodu s Kryštofem Popelem z Lobkovic, a jejich dopad na jeho karieru. Cílem práce je zachytit politickou realitu ze dvou úhlů pohledu. Z pohledu praktického fungování ve funkci nejvyššího hofmistra a z pohledu politických vztahů uvnitř Lobkovického rodu. The work is about 16th century society, exploring the political and administrative developments while focusing on higher provincial autority, especially of the most senior hofmistr. This work records political rise of the Lobkowicz family in the high provincial offices and the office of the hofmistr during the 16th century. It´s main focus is on Christopher Popel o Lobkovicz building his carem and taking up his post from 1599. The last section deals with the effects Christopher Popel of Lobkowitcz had in the Czech State Council from 1602-1609. The next tracks the contact Christopher Popel of Lobkowicz had with the Lobkowicz family and the impact this relationship had on his political carem. The aim is to capture politikal reality from two diferent angeles, from the perspective of the practical operation and fiction of the supreme hofmistr as well as the political ties within the Lobkowicz family.
