Vymezeným kritériím potřebných pro výzkumné šetření odpovídalo šest vybraných rodin. Data byla získána pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů. Díky získaným informacím o hodnotové orientaci daných rodin před narozením a po narození handicapovaného dítěte je možné stanovit směr a intenzitu změn. Praktické provedení výzkumu vede k pochopení změn v rodinách s handicapovaným dítětem.. -- Abstract: The thesis "Changes of family's attitudes after the birth of a handicapped child" investigates the changes of value orientations of families where a handicapped child was born. Six selected families corresponded to defined criterions needed for a research. The data was gathered through in-depth interviews with respondents. Thanks to gathered informations about the value orientations of the families before and after the birth of a handicapped child, it is possible to determine the direction and intensity of the changes. Practical implementation of the research leads to understanding the changes in families with a handicapped child.
