První část textu se věnuje zobrazování do vynálezu fotografie, kdy nosným médiem byla malba. Dále je zmíněn vynález fotografie a první pokusy věrně zachytit referent fotografickou cestou. Další části této práce se zaměřují na proměny užití fotografického média od snahy objektivně zachytit realitu, přes rozklad skutečnosti během avantgardy, až po konceptuální uchopení tohoto média v sedmdesátých letech dvacátého století. Tímto končí historická část textu a dále jsou zmíněny přístupy důležité pro současnou fotografii. Jsou jimi vlivy lidského nevědomí na konstruování jiné reality, paměť a sen. V poslední části se text zabývá několika současnými autory, kteří pracují s jiným kódováním obrazu za účelem vytvoření fikce. The project "Dream about a fish from the Dead Sea" is dedicated to the representation of reality through the medium of photography. The first part of the text is devoted to displaying the reality until the invention of photography, when the carrier medium was painting. Invention of photography is also mentioned as well as the first attempts to faithfully capture the referent by phography. Another part of this work is focused on the transformation of the use of the photographic medium. Starting from trying to capture reality objectively, through the decomposition during the avant-garde, to the conceptual grasp of photographic medium during 1970's. Futher on the text explains approaches important for the conceptual photography. Such as human unconscious influences on the construction of another reality, which are memory and dream. The last part of the text deals with several contemporary authors, who work with different coding of the image in order to create fiction. Another responsib.
