Vzniklé disparity mezi regiony omezují potenciál hospodářského růstu, z toho důvodu je nutná existence státních zásahů. Regionální politika České republiky i Evropské unie je, prostřednictvím financování z evropských fondů, zaměřena na snižování regionálních disparit a podpory růstu celého území státu v souladu s politikou udržitelného rozvoje a růstu kvality životního prostředí. Předložená diplomová práce analyzuje současné rozdíly a vývoj regionů a regionální politiky České republiky a Nizozemí na základě výsledků statistických ukazatelů. Z důvodu srovnání jsou statistická data primárně čerpána ze statistického úřadu evropských společenství. V další části jsou výsledky obou zemí navzájem porovnány a na zjištěných podkladech je navržena sada opatření, vedoucí ke snížení rozdílů a vyrovnání rozvoje regionů na území České republiky.. -- Abstract: The market economy is unable to cope with the different development of the regions in the country. The resulting disparities between regions are limiting the potential economic growth, because of it is necessary to use state interventions. Regional Policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union is aimed, through European funding, at reducing regional disparities and promoting the growth of the territories, in accordance with the policy of sustainable development and growth of environmental quality. The submitted thesis analyzes the current differences and the development of regions and regional policy of the Czech Republic and the Netherlands on the basis of the results of statistical indicators. Because of the comparison the statistical data are primarily taken from the Statistical Office of the European Communities. The next section compares the results of both countries and found a set of documents, which propose the arrangements to reduce disparities and balance regional development in the Czech Republic.
