Nachází se jak v přirozeném vodním prostředí, tak i v prostředí antropogenního původu. Bakalářská práce charakterizuje vlastnosti Legionelly, nebezpečí, které může představovat, prevenci a možnosti jejího odstranění. Rovněž nastiňuje legislativu České republiky a seznamuje s evropskou skupinou EWGLI (The European Working Group for Legionella Infections), jež se zabývá ochranou před bakterií Legionella v rámci Evropské unie. Legionella genus is an aerobic gram-negative bacterium constituting pathogenic organism for human. It presents in natural aquatic environment as well as in anthropogenic origin environment. This bachelor thesis characterizes Legionella's features, hazards caused by the bacteria, prevention and possibilities of its elimination. The bachelor thesis also sketches out legislation of the Czech Republic and it presents the European group EWGLI (The European Working Group for Legionella Infections), that is focused on the prevention against the Legionella bacterium within the European Union.
