Název a text práce v anglickém jazyce Abstrakt In this research, I will examine the relationship between the appropriation of vernacular photographs and the notion of the photographic object, focusing mainly on the establishment and strategies of the practices from the beginning of the digital age, that emphasize the questions of the materiality of the photographic medium in times of its rapid digitalization. In addition to the theoretical discussion, this thesis also includes a segment on the development of my previous artistic practices and an analysis of practical work, a photographic installation, and an event, titled During the Exhibition the Photographs Will Be Lost Found realized as an outcome of this artistic research, in which I propose a practice of dissemination by appropriating everyday gestures of loss within the field and practice of art.
