Cílem diplomové práce je definice a analýza těchto faktorů v regionech České republiky z hlediska jejich demografického vývoje, ekonomické úrovně a zaměstnanosti, sociální a životní úrovně, vzdělanosti a zdravotního stavu obyvatelstva, kriminality, životního prostředí, infrastrukturní vybavenosti území a dispozic cestovního ruchu. První část práce popisuje teoretická východiska regionálního rozvoje a regionální politiky. Následuje definice indikátorů jako prostředků kvantifikace regionálního rozvoje, volba souboru hodnotících ukazatelů a samotná analýza získaných dat vystihujících zvolené faktory. Zkoumání rozdílů v úrovni jednotlivých regionů bylo založeno na statistické analýze s důrazem na přehledné grafické zpracování dat. Výstupem hodnocení je identifikace významných meziregionálních disparit a ilustrativní klasifikace krajů ČR do skupin dle socioekonomické výkonnosti. Regional development is based on many factors, which affect and influence each other. The aim of the diploma thesis is to define and analyse these factors in the regions of the Czech Republic in terms of their demographic development, economic and employment level, social level and standard of living, educational level and health of the population, crime rate, environment, infrastructure of the region and the tourism predispositions. The first part of the paper describes the theoretical bases of the regional development and the regional politics. It is followed by the definition of the indicators as the means of quantification of the regional development, the selection of the set of the evaluation indicators and the analysis of the data representing the selected factors. The examination of the differences in the level of the particular regions was based on a statistical analysis with the focus on the clear graphical presentation of the data. The outcome of the evaluation is the identification of the significant interregional disparities with an illustrative classification of the regions of the Czech Republic into the groups based on their socio-economical performance.
