It reveals the roots of digital photography in terms of what technology and equipment was used at the beginning to create early digital photographs. Then it followes the development, to find out what changes, new possibilities, but also what new questions were brought about by this new technology, when used in art. On the work of selected individual artists is demonstrated, what new possibilities, approaches, questions or problems have been encountered due to the advance of digital technologies in photography. Practical part of diploma work explores the theme of Communication and Gesture in the series called Formalized Communication Rituals. Practical part consists of 10 digital prints and 2 video presentations. The work focuses on the advance of digital technologies in photography.
