Teoretická část přibližuje hlavní protagonisty příběhu, seznamuje s dějinami překladu a současnými teoriemi přístupu k překladu. Tato část také popisuje různé teoretické problémy a specifika jejich řešení. Praktická část obsahuje vlastní rozbor, kde jsou analyzovány a porovnávány různé části překladu. Zkoumá celou řadu činitelů, které ovlivňují výsledné dílo překladatele. Důraz je kladen na stylistiku českého jazyka. Rozbor se zaměřuje na to, do jaké míry plní překlad svoji funkci.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis aims to compare the Czech translation of Královna a já to its English original considering the theories of acknowledged Czech theoreticans. The theoretical part introduces the main protagonists who contributed to the birth of the novel, it acquaints its readers with the history of translation and current theoretical approaches to translation. This part also describes various theretical problems and their solutions. The practical part consists of analysis which examines and compares varying excerpts of the translation. The emphasis is placed upon stylistics of Czech language. The analysis focuses mainly on the extent of the function which the target text is to perform.
