Teoretická část se soustředí na pojmy jako stárnutí, periodizace stáří, sociální izolace, umírání a kult mládí. Dále jsou zde vymezena pozitiva a negativa mladé a seniorské populace. Cílem bylo zhodnotit a popsat vztahy mezi generacemi. Praktická část je zaměřena na zjištění skutečných postojů mladých lidí vůči seniorům a stáří. Praktická část práce vychází z předchozí teoretické části a jsou zde prezentována data z výzkumného šetření za využití dotazníkové techniky. Výzkum byl určen mladým lidem v věku 18-30 let.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis is focused on attitudes held by the younger generation towards the older generation and senior citizens. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on terms such as aging, age periodization, social isolation, death and the cult of youth. It also looks at positive and negative aspects of both the young and senior population. The aim was to assess and describe relationships between generations. The practical part focuses on the actual attitudes of young people to seniors and aging in general. This practical part is based on the previous theoretical part and the research data aquired using the questionnaire. The research group who completed the questionaire was young people between the ages of 18 to ­30.
