Diplomantka nejprve poskytne přehled odborné literatury zaměřené na výuku cizího jazyka ve spojení s krásnou literaturou, bude prezentovat zejména přínos tohoto propojení z hlediska učení cizího jazyka a analyzuje nejčastější učební metody a postupy. V praktické části provede diplomantka pedagogický experiment s cílem vybrat a ověřit takové postupy a aktivity, které umožní integraci tématu Moderní americká literatura do výuky AJ v posledním ročníku střední školy. Definuje cíle výuky, navrhne konkrétní aktivity a posoudí, da jaké míry jsou ve výuce prospěšné z hlediska motivace, výuky jazyka a posilování mezipředmětových vztahů.. -- Abstrakt: The topic of this diploma thesis is Modern American Literature in the framework of the leaving examination. The theoretical part of the thesis corncerns the role of literature in foreign language teaching. It highlights the importance of literature, and the reasons for integrating it into EFL classes. After observing the theoretical basis necessary for the class work, the practical research takes its place. The description of the experiment, the respondents? profiles followed by the calendar of the lessons, and their contents introduce the later analysis. The research results together with the implications for teaching practice mirror the experiences, problems, possible surprises and suggestions for successful fulfilment of the literature classes.
