Oponent Karim Tarakji Abstrakt A 30 day challenge to create art everyday. Being a multidisciplinary artist everyday when I feel the creative juices flowing I find myself thinking about more than 2 art forms at once. I write poems, paint, sing, play ukulele, play piano, make youtube videos, take photographs and sometimes compile them all. This Project could be called ''the dilemma of a multidisciplinary artist'' I once was listening to a ted talk interview capturing Stephen King. He's an amazing writer who is well known for his captivating books, but the thing many others believe that made him so great is that he is a consistent writer, a consistent artist. He published a lot of books, he could wind up a lot of his thoughts into a lot of books. One of the interview questions that really stuck with me was ''How he manages to be consistent''. He answered that he writes at least 10 pages a day and it is a habit for him since he pushed himself to do so. No matter how bad, it should be out of him into the real world. It could always be modified, changed, altered and be re-written. This struck me and I realized how important it is to be consistent with your art practice. I then thought of a 3 hour activity where I could do it everyday to practice something or the other everyday. I couldn't be consistent for 3 hours but I did play the piano and paint everyday for 15 days and I was amazed how much it changed my piano skills. A 30 day challenge to create art everyday.
