Hlavním cílem tohoto uskupení byla podpora žen z vyšší společnosti, které se ocitly vlivem životních událostí bez dostatečných finančních příjmů a hrozilo jim vyloučení na okraj společnosti. Dámský kruh fungoval a podporoval své členky nepřetržitě, až do roku 1954. Práce se zabývá vznikem, funkcí, fungováním a sociálními vazbami organizace v kontextu dobových emancipačních ženských spolků a hnutí. Cílem práce je postihnout důvody, které vedly ke vzniku spolku na pozadí sociálních a kulturních aspektů své doby a také blíže popsat strukturu členek organizace. Dámský kruh vznikl za přispění Amerického klubu dam a jeho další fungování bylo po určitou dobu podporováno právě z příspěvků získaných na tzv. Náprstkových večírcích, proto i těmto tématům se práce věnuje. Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje rovněž na každodennost a proměnu spolku v průběhu desetiletí, ale i na důvody vedoucí k jeho zániku v padesátých letech dvacátého století.. -- Abstrakt: The Prague Ladies' Circle association was founded in 1892 on the initiative of sisters Klementina and Teodora Hanušová. The main aim of this association was to support women from the upper class who found themselves without financial income due to life circumstances and were threatened with exclusion to the margins of society. The Ladies' Circle functioned and supported its members continuously until 1954. This thesis examines the origins, function, and social connections of the organization in the context of contemporary women's emancipatory associations and movements. The goal of the thesis is to capture the reasons that led to the formation of the association against the background of the social and cultural aspects of the time and to describe in more detail the structure of the women members of the organization. The Ladies' Circle was founded the help of the American Ladies'Club and its further functioning was for a certain period of time supported by the contributions received at the so-called Náprstek's Parties, therefore the thesis also deals with these topics. The bachelor thesis also focuses on the everyday life and transformation of the club over the decades, as well as the reasons leading to its demise in the 1950s.
