Porovnává jednotlivé prvky, které autoři použili, aby vytvořili nový žánr - Dramatický monolog. Práce analyzuje jednotlivé prvky Dramatického monologu, tak, jak si je žánr do sebe absorboval z jiných pramenů. Dále se tato práce zabývá detailním rozborem díla Rytíř Roland přišel k temné věži, a způsobem jakým autor Robert Browning do díla promítl sám sebe. Zároveň se soustředí na interpretace jednotlivých kritiků, které mezi sebou porovnává. Zohledněn je v práci slovník, který autor používá a na jednotlivých částech jeho básní je rozebráno, jaký byl autorský záměr pro dílo. Práce dále probírá další dvě díla Roberta Browninga, jmenovitě Porphyrias Lover a My Last Duchess, a porovnává je pomocí kritické literatury a rozborů jejich stavby.. -- Abstrakt: This bachelor thesis studies the development of the Dramatic monologue in detail, from its beginnings up to its artistic peak. It compares the individual features of the Dramatic monologue that were used by their authors to create a new genre and the way it absorbed features of other genres. The thesis is further concerned with a detailed analysis of the poem The Childe Roland to the Dark Tower came, and with the means Browning used, to project himself into the poem. Further, the critical sources are analysed and the opposing critical claims are compared. The thesis then studies the figures of speech and the vocabulary used by Browning to create his poems and it is assessed what the author meant by setting his monologues as he did. In addition the thesis covers the poems My Last Duchess and Porphyria´s Lover and with the use of critical literature and the analysis of their structure, it compares them.
