We will investigate the Finnish history, culture and politics, its crutial milestones and search for their footprints in the Finnish photography. Also, our aim is to understand the uniqueness of the Finnish photography and to find out some of the connotations to the country's history. The practical part of the diploma thesis is built on experiences of the author in the media business. Its primary concept is built around the issue of the purpose and reality of illustration photography in media.
