Cílem je uvést hlavní znaky možných odlišností jazyka a provést zcela nový výzkum, který buď potvrdí tvrzení významných jazykovědců, nebo je naopak vyvrátí. Tato studie se zaměřuje na anglický jazyk Čechů žijících ve státě Connecticut, USA. Dále ukazuje postavení českých imigrantů v USA a jejich asimilaci v americké společnosti.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with examining the differences between the speech of people according to their social class and the influence of the environment on the way they speak. Its objectives is to introduce the main features of possible difference, and carry out an entirely new research which either proves the claims of prominent linguists, or, on the contrary, challenges them. The study focuses on the English language of the Czechs living in the USA, Connecticut. Furthermore, it shows the status of the Czech immigrants in the USA and their assimilation in the American society.
