Islám a Západ [rukopis] = Islam and the West / Iveta Backová. -- 2011. -- 88 l. -- Ved. práce Rudolf Kučera. -- Pův. příjmení autorky Pelikánová. -- Abstrakt: Tématem mé diplomové práce je islámské společenství a západní civilizace, demokracie a jejich vzájemné soužití. Obě tato společenství fungují na rozlišných základech, které je nutné si uvědomit. Tradice, kultura i vývoj hrají důležitou roli pro hodnocení vzájemných vztahů, a proto jim věnuji značnou pozornost. Práce je koncipována do několika kapitol, přičemž využívám historického postupu. Nejprve tedy rozkrývám islám, jako náboženství, povinnosti jeho věřících a dogmata, na nichž staví. Dále poukazuji na nejednotnost tohoto náboženství a problémy s tím související. Postupně se dostávám ke kořenům sporů mezi islámem a Západem, průběhu vzájemných střetů až k současné situaci. V závěru své práce shrnuji hlavní myšlenky s cílem zamyslet se nad tím, je-li možná mírová koexistence těchto společenství a vůbec demokratický vývoj v islámských zemích.. -- Abstrakt: The theme of my dissertation is Islamic association and the western civilization, democracy and their reciprocal koexistence. Both of these associations function on different basis, which is important to understand. Traditions, culture and evolution are in main roles in order to evaluate interrelationships. Therefore I pay atentation to them. The work is constipated into a few chapters, where I use historical consequences. At first I am revealing Islam as a religion, obligations of their faithful and dogmas on which they build. Next I point out disunity of this religion along with its problems. Consequentially I come to the roots of the arguments between the Islam and the West, course of reciprocal conflicts up to the current situation. In conclusion of my dissertation work I summarize the main points within the aim of consideration if there is a possibility of peace-coexistence in these associations and at all a democratic evolution within Islamic countries.
