Její první část se zabývá postavou z hlediska naratologie, outsiderem z pohledu sociální psychologie a žánrem dětské literatury. Teoretický oddíl zahrnuje zkoumání základních děl literatury pro děti a mládež s postavou outsidera, definici a klasifikaci fantasy literatury. Druhá část je věnována rozboru fantasy děl Sirotčinec slečny Peregrinové pro podivné děti, Pán much a Odkaz dračích jezdců: Eragon. Třetí část obsahuje průzkum o četbě fantastické literatury současnou mládeží.. -- Abstrakt: This dissertation work focuses on the figure of an outsider in contemporary fantasy writings for children and the youth. Its first part considers the figure in a way of naratology, outsider from the perspective of social psychology, and the genre of children's literature. Theoretical part contains investigation of basic literature for children with the figure of an outsider, definition and classification of fantasy literature. The second part is dedicated to analysis of fantasy works Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children, Lord of the Flies and Inheritance Cycle: Eragon. The first part contains a research on reading of fantasy literature by contemporary youth.
