Podoba opevnění pevnosti Terezín v 19. století / Ivan Fuksa. -- 2017. -- 347 stran : barevné ilustrace, mapy, plány, portréty. -- Oponent Kamil Podroužek. -- Ved. práce Radek Fukala. -- Oponent Michael Viktořík. -- Abstrakt: Cílem práce je zmapovat stavební podobu opevnění pevnosti Terezín v 19. století včetně popisu toho, jak opevnění vypadalo, jak se rozšiřovalo a také jaké byly neuskutečněné plány na jeho modernizaci. Pro lepší orientaci budou tyto demonstrovány na příkladech bojů z let 1809, 1813 a 1866, které výrazně ovlivnily vývoj pevnosti Terezín. Rakousko-francouzská válka roku 1809 byla vybrána, neboť vedla k výstavbě předmostí na pravém břehu Labe. Dalším důležitým datem pro pevnost Terezín byla válka šesté koalice v roce 1813. Pevnost Terezín tvořila jeden z pilířů polního opevnění, jehož úkolem bylo zastavit případný postup Napoleonových vojsk do nitra Čech. A rok 1866 přinesl Terezínu poslední modernizaci opevnění v rámci přípravy na známý prusko-rakouský konflikt. Klíčovým pro vývoj pevnosti byl také rok 1850, kdy bylo na pravém břehu Labe postaveno nové předmostí. Další zajímavé milníky v dějinách Terezína představují roky 1870, z kterého pochází návrh na fortovou pevnost Terezín, a 1882, z něhož se dochoval spis o plánovaném stavu dělostřelectva v případě armování pevnosti. Z výše popsaných důvodů byla vybrána právě tato období, která budou v práci rozvedena, a bude popsána jejich podoba a zasazení do širších souvislostí.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis focuses on the building development of the Terezin (Theresienstadt) fortress since 1790 till the end of the 19th century. During this period, numerous new fortifications were established in the surroundings of the original fortress. Firstly, the old bridgehead was built up on the right bank of the Elbe near Litoměřice in 1809 during the Franco-Austrian war. This bridgehead was composed of bastion fortification. In 1813, the Terezin fortress participated in the defence of the Czech lands against the Napoleonic army. The fortification of the old bridgehead was modernized in 1827, some structures were modernized and some new ones were built on the left bank of the Elbe. In 1850, a new bridgehead on the right bank of the Elbe in the surroundings of the hill Na Valech was build, this bridgehead included a ring of four forts and two flügelwerks. A modernization of the new bridgehead occurred in 1866 during the Austro-Prussian war. Sixteen new objects were built on the right bank of the Elbe as a part of the new bridgehead, namely six forts, two flügelwerks, two schanzes and two batteries. On the left bank of the Elbe close by the riverbed, two schnazes and two batteries were built. A new advanced fortification of Bohušovice was established in 1866 due to construction of railway from Prague to Dresden. It consisted of nine objects, namely one fort, two artillery batteries, two artillery batteries located in the area of the rail yard of the north state railway and four auxiliary objects. During the Austro-Prussian war, the Terezin fortress was of its greatest extension, it consisted of five parts: the Main fortress, the Upper and Lower Retrenchment with the Northern Arrow, the Small fortress, the old bridgehead, the new bridgehead and the advanced fortification of Bohušovice. The Terezin fortress was just over 6 km long from the northernmost point to the southernmost one and slightly below 5 km wide from the easternmost to the most westernmost one. In 1870, a plan to the extension of the fortress to a big ring of forts was introduced. This plan is a part of a huge plan proposing construction of four big fortresses in the area of the current Czech Republic. Since then, the importance of the Terezín fortress began to decline and in 1882 the cancellation of the fortress was decided upon. It became effective in 1888.
