V první části práce se nejprve věnuji typologii zdravotnických institucí, jejich struktuře a funkcím. Popisuji nemocnice, jejich klasifikaci a základní strukturu. Další část práce je rozsáhlejší, zahrnuje ekonomiku a financování péče o zdraví, ekonomiku zdravotnických institucí, financování zdravotní péče a jeho model v České republice a také teorii finanční analýzy a její metody. Třetí kapitola je věnována samotné finanční analýze vybraných nemocnic a interpretaci jejích výsledků. Následuje zhodnocení hospodářské činnosti vybraných nemocnic a návrh možných zlepšení. Práce je zakončena mezinárodním srovnáním hospodaření nemocnic.. -- Abstrakt: The theme and the main purpose of this thesis is the management of hospitals in selected regions of the Czech Republic. In the first part of the thesis I attend to typology of medical institutions, their structure and functions. I describe hospitals, their classification and basic structure. Another part of the thesis is more extensive, includes economy and financing of health care, the economy os medical institutions, health care financing and its model in the Czech Republic and also financial analysis theory and its methods. The third chapter is devoted to the financial analysis of selected hospitals and the interpretation of their results. Following an evaluation of the economic activity of selected hospitals and the presentation of possible improvement. The work is closed by international comparison of management of hospitals.
