V teoretické části je vymezen pojem veřejného statku, konceptu PPP s příklady ze zahraničí a metod hodnocení efektivnosti veřejných výdajů. Praktická část zahrnuje zhodnocení efektivnosti středisek poskytujících formou PPP veřejnou službu v sedmi městech České republiky, a to pomocí kvantitativních metod hodnocení efektivnosti.. -- Abstrakt: The aim of this thesis, called "Use of Public Private Partnership in the area of public lighting in the Czech Republic", is to evaluate the current situation of implementing the Public Private Partnership into the public service. The theoretical part defines the term of public goods, the PPP concept including examples from other countries, and methods used for the evaluation of the effectiveness of public expenditures. The practical part includes the evaluation assessment of the effectiveness of the centres providing public service with the help of PPP in seven cities in the Czech Republic, using the quantitative methods evaluating the effectiveness.
