Milan Ráček und seine Frau Irena sahen ihrer Zukunft irgendwo anderes, als in der ehemaligen Tschechoslowakei. Wegen politischen Ereignissen, die sich in der Zeit abgespielt haben, haben sie sich im Jahre 1968 für die Emigration nach Österreich entschieden. In meiner Diplomarbeit wird zunächst die Persönlichkeit des Autors, sein Leben und Schaffen kurz zusammengefasst. Im Folgenden werden seine Romantrilogie und seine zwei Romane "Für ein Leben zu viel" und "Der helle Weg in die Dunkelheit" im Hinblick auf die Hauptthemen, die Charakteristik der Hauptfigur und Sprachstil untersucht und abschließend auf Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede hin überprüft. The goal of my thesis is introduction of the writer Milan Ráček and his family, who emigrated from the Czech Republic to Austria. There they had to get familiarized with a foreign language in new country. Following several educational and professional books he began to write fictional books. First part of my thesis focuses on the writer?s biography and his relationship with both of the countries and an overview of all of his work. The next part focuses on his trilogy and novels Für ein Leben zu viel and Der helle Weg in die Dunkelheit. In the end I summarize the contents of my thesis.
