Data získaná z příspěvků na fóru byla analyzována podle tří hlavních kategorií internetového registru: textismů, expresivních ukazatelů a emotikonů. Každá kategorie obsahovala i podkategorie. Zjištění z analýzy ukázala, že v kategorii týkající se textismů vykazovali rodilí i nerodilí mluvčí angličtiny podobné výsledky napříč touto kategorií s minimálními rozdíly v jejich distribuci. U expresivních ukazatelů a emotikonů byly zaznamenány větší rozdíly v užívání, ale také byly užívány minimálně ve srovnání s textismy. Vliv angličtiny lze tedy pozorovat na internetu, což dokazuje, že angličtina má potenciál utvářet konverzace probíhající na internetu bez ohledu na kulturní zázemí uživatelů na online fóru i mimo něj.. -- Abstrakt: This research investigates usage of internet English register features between native English speakers and non-native English speakers on an online forum. Data collected from the forum posts were analysed according to three main internet register categories: textisms, expressive markers, and emoticons. Each category contained subcategories. The findings revealed that in the category regarding textisms, both native and non-native English speakers exhibited similar patterns across the features of this category with only minimal differences in their distribution. Expressive markers and emoticons saw larger differences in usage but were also employed minimally compared to textisms. The influence of the English language on the internet can therefore be observed, which also demonstrates that the English language has a potential to shape conversations taking place on the internet regardless of the cultural backgrounds of the users on the forum and off of it.
